Sophie Russell
Practitioner
Sophie is a level 3 Yoga and Pilates instructor, breathwork, and sound practitioner, with over 20 years of instructing experience.
Sophie can deliver bite-sized sessions for the busy corporate worker, that will help them to improve their physical and mental health. Using simple yoga or pilates postures, which restore balance to the body from sitting at desks or working from home for large periods of the day. She will target the most common complaints from desk-based individuals and teach them how to spot the problem areas within themselves and how to correct them on a daily basis. She can also deliver simple breathing techniques that will calm the nervous system, which will able them to manage their own day-to-day stress more efficiently and to think from a clearer, calmer headspace.
Sound meditation is scientifically proven to reduce stress hormones and cortisol production which weaken our body's natural defenses against disease and also can alter brain activity, which can have an anti-inflammatory effect. Sound is also very effective with sleep and mood disorders such as insomnia, depression and anxiety.
All the above techniques will help the practitioner with decision-making and also with staff and client relating, as well as their productivity and general well-being.
These sessions can be delivered in person or remotely, in bite-sized 20-30 minute sessions, or over a couple of hours as a workshop/wellbeing event if preferred.
