Description
Reiki is an energy-healing therapy originating from Japan. Gentle, non-invasive and deeply relaxing, it helps restore physical, mental and emotional balance, aligning mind, body and soul. Ideal for anyone experiencing stress, anxiety, fatigue, burnout, overwhelm, pain or low mood. Creating an overall sense of calm and well-being, reiki activates the parasympathetic nervous system; moving the body out of ‘fight or flight’ and into ‘rest and restore’ mode.
One-to-one sessions last an hour and take place fully clothed. To begin, we will discuss what’s brought you to the session. Then, you will lie restfully on a couch cocooned under a blanket, relaxing with your eyes closed. (Reiki can also be given in a seated position.) Using my intuition and training as a guide, my hands will be placed gently and non-intrusively in a sequence of positions resting on or near your body. I will work with your energy lines and chakras to clear any blockages and help regain balance. There is no massage or manipulation, but this is an intensely restful, restorative therapy. Clients often describe it as being in an almost meditative state. Afterwards you should feel lighter, rebalanced and calmer.

Rowley Slater is trained in Usui and Usui Tera Mai Reiki and attuned to both the Western and Japanese lineages. Rowley discovered the transformative powers of Reiki during a crossroad period in her life. Having witnessed how reiki positively influenced her own physical health and mental well-being, she was driven to share this wonderful healing modality with others. Since then she has helped numerous clients with issues including stress, anxiety, overwhelm, burnout, low mood, fatigue, grief, sleep issues and physical ailments.
