About the session

Description

This is an interactive workshop which focuses on improving the most important functions of our body and mind.   First, it encourages the importance of deep, conscious breaths. These breathing techniques are important in balancing our nervous system and keeping us calm in stressful times. They also keep us productive, creative and focused throughout the day.   Next, the importance of movement is addressed. The participants are shown the most important exercises that stretch and strengthen the neck, shoulders, spine and hips.   These poses boost our mood, reduce aches and pains and increase energy levels. This can also be referred to as Chair Yoga.   Lastly, it focuses on the mind and in particular, discusses the ways that the mind sabotages us, then explores techniques to overcome it with tools such as gratitude, visualisation and mindfulness.
